Chinese Request to Refine & Distribute Fuel Rejected

A Chinese company has made a request to permit them to establish a refinery in Srilanka to refine crude oil and distribute in Srilanka. As this will badly affect local organization engaged in this field, the government of Srilanka reported to have rejected the request.
It is relevant to mention that currently Srilanka petroleum corporation and the Indian Oil Company (IOC) are engaged in fuel trade.
