Poaching Four Indian Fishermen Arrested in Sri Lankan Waters

Naval personnel on board SLN Gun Boat, Edithara11 attached to the Northern Naval Command on operational duty observed that four Indian fishermen along with a trawler poaching in Sri Lankan waters 11.8 nautical miles west of Delft Island on Thursday (04).

Sri Lanka Navy has arrested them.The trawler and fishing gear were brought to SLN base Elara in Karainagar, while the fishermen were brought to SLN base Uttara in Kankasanthurai. They are scheduled to be handed over to the Assistant Fisheries Director of Jaffna for legal action.
