Weather Forecast For 7th October 2017

Prevailing showery condition is expected to continue during next few days (particularly in South-western part of the island and Eastern and Uva provinces).
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts and at several places in the North-western and Northern provinces.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere (particularly in Eastern and Uva provinces) after 2.00pm.

Fairly heavy showers can be expected (about 75-100 mm) at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts

Fairly strong gusty winds (40-50 kmph) can be expected in the Hambantota district.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
