AG Against Considering Sarath Silva’s Petition

Deputy Solicitor General Sanjaya Rajaratnam representing the Attorney General  informed the Supreme Court today that AG opposes the decision to consider the petition filed by Former Chief Justice Sarath N Silva against the Provincial Council Elections Amendment Act.

He quoted  the two petitions filed at the Supreme Court by Tamil National Alliance Parliamentarian M. A. Sumanthiran and Attorney Rajika Kodituwakku against the petition  filed by  former Chief Justice Sarath N Silva and called for the dismissal of the Fundamental Rights petition of Sarath N Silva.
