Hartal Called on 13th  in the  North & East

A discussion was held between  Political parties and Civil organizations of the North and East yesterday (9).

It transpired at the meeting,  that steps have been taken to transfer  Vavuniya High Court cases to Anuradhapura High Court.  Further, they noted that 3 political prisoners in Anuradhapura prison, who are on hunger strike have been admitted to the Anuradhapura hospital and their conditions are moving from bad to worse.

Hence, after the discussion  today (10) they have decided to observed   one day  hartal  in the Northern and the Eastern Provinces on 13^th October, demanding to stop transfer of High Court cases and release of political prisoners.
