Rough Seas Warning  Given to Naval & Fishing communities

The Department of Meteorology said,  that the low level atmospheric disturbance to the North-East of the island in the Bay of Bengal has developed in to a low pressure area and that it is likely to develop in to a depression and move to the North-West, away from the island. Hence, heavy showers, rough seas with strong wind can be expected.  It said that winds will be south-westerly in direction and speed will be 30-40 kmph.

Therefore Navy and fishing communities are given  weather advisories  issued by the department said.
