Control Price For Rice From Next Week

As private sector has not cooperating in fixing the price of rice, Ministry of Industry and Commerce has announced that it was compelled to introduce price control on rice from next week. Committee on cost of living at its’ last meeting has considered this fact.

Hence, Nadu 1Kg was fixed at Rs74, while Sudhesha Samba was fixed at Rs85 and the white rice at R65. However, private sector is selling rice at prices of their choice, hence, this decision was taken , a Ministry source revealed.
