“Rajapakse’s were Thrown Away On January 8th” – Fonseka

 

Democratic Party (DP) leader Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka pointed out that the ‘spectre’ named Mahinda Rajapaksa was imprisoned in a bottle and thrown to the sea on January 8.

Speaking at a rally in Avissawlla, Fonseka also stated that some opportunists wanted to open the lid of the bottle and bring the specter back on stage. However, this spectre and the opportunistic politics would be defeated once and for all on August 17, Fonseka added.

The rally was the first of a series of election rallies organized by the Democratic Party in the Colombo District. It was organized by Democratic Party Avissawella Organizer Indrani Senehelatha. Uvathenne Sumana Thera and Danuna Tillekeratne, two candidates from the Colombo District, also took part.
