PM Blasted Mischievous Media’s Fabricated False News

Report compiled by three Institutions including the Srilanka Media College after perusing the interim report submitted by the constitutional guidance committee was submitted to the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe yesterday (19).
At this event Prime Minister blasted certain irresponsible medias for spreading false news on constitution making. He displayed news article where picture of Mahanayake prelate was published. News report claimed that the Mahanayke prelates met and declared that there is no need for neither a new constitution or nor for an amendment required at present.
This news item was published as the news head line and given publicity on front page. PM said when he contacted the prelate, who is not in the island, but in a foreign country, prelate said that he didn’t participate in any such meeting .
PM said still a constitution is not drafted. Only the preliminaries have been done. Prime Minister clearly mentioned this in his official Face book account.
