Decrease in Water Leakage of Uma Oya Project

Earlier the main tunnel of the Uma Oya Project recorded main tunnel leakage of about 1,460 litres of water per second. In a discussion held regarding Uma Oya Project it was transpired the leakge has been reduced to a range of 550-650 litres per second. The engineers said that the water leakage was reduced due to the current construction.

Meanwhile, a large number of dried-up wells that were in Bandarawela area have been re- filled with water, discussions revealed.
