Rs 30 M Payment to President’s Daughter is Only a Fabricated Story

Senior Coordinating officer to the President Shiral Lakthilake said, that there is no truth regading a news item published in a website claiming, that an advertising firm said to be owned by the President’s Daughter
Chaturika Sirisena had been paid, Rs 30 million for the promotional work of the inaguration of ‘’Grama Sakthi’’programme at Sugathadasa indoor Stadium on 20 th October.
He further said, that the President’s daughter had no connection neither with the programme nor with the advertising firm.The advertising firm in question is media factory,which is not owned by her. The firm was previously claimed to be owned by Yoshitha Rapjapaksa. The owner of the media factory , a media scheduling firm, is one Kapila Widanagamage , while its former share holder Prashan Subramaniyam has no started a firm of his own. It was the President’s media unit that had done the decorations and the platform for the event, said head of the Unit Dharmasri Ekanayake. Only the television advertisement for Grama Shakthi had been done through a private firm.
