Cristiano Ronaldo Wins FIFA ‘The Best’ Men’s Player Of The Year Award, Zinedine Zidane Named Coach Of The Year

Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo has won this year’s FIFA best player award. With this, he has now joined Lionel Messi as a five-time winner of the award. The award was presented to him on Monday at the London Palladium theater. Lionel Messi was runner-ups while Neymar was placed third.  32-year old Ronaldo has now won the La Liga, Champions League, Spanish Super Cup, UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Best Player and FIFA Best Player in 2017. “Thanks for voting for me. Mention for Neymar, Messi who are here. RM supporters, teammates, coach, president for their support,” Ronaldo said after receiving the award.
The team of the 2016-17 season was also announced at the FIFA Best ceremony, wherein the goalkeeper of the team was Italy’s, Gianluigi Buffon.
While the defense is manned by Dani Alves, Leonardo Bonucci, Sergio Ramos and Marcelo. The midfield comprises of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Andres Iniesta. The forward line is manned by  Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Neymar.
Among others, Sarina Wiegman has been named as women’s coach of the year while Celtic has won the fan award. After winning the champions league with Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane was named as the coach of the year. After receiving the award, Zidane said, “I would like to thank all the players who made this possible.”
