Bond Commission to Resume on 2nd November

Proceedings of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI), investigating the Treasury bond issue will resume on 2^nd November.

Secretary to the Presidential Commission Sumathipala Udugamasuriya, said that the decision to resume the evidence hearing was made by the three commissioners yesterday. Accordingly, he noted that the three officers of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), assisting the Commission will be summoned to give evidence before the Commission. Their evidence will be led by the officers of the Attorney General’s Department.

The tenure of the Commission was extended last Friday (20) by President Maithripala Sirisena, upon the request made by the Commission, which asked for more time to complete the final report.
