Gazette Notifications on New Regulations Regarding Traffic Offences to be Issued Next Week

Three gazette notifications containing traffic violation rules including increased traffic fine up to Rs.25, 0000  will be issued  next week, said National Council for Road Safety Chairman Sisira Kodagoda.

In the meantime,  the gazette notification including fixing of meters for three-wheelers, speed limitations and maximum number of passengers will also be issued within next week.

Further, the new gazette  notification for safety helmets will also be issued next week.

The new laws  in respect of  three wheelers and motorcycles will be implemented from January 1, 2018 , said the Chairman.
