Weather Forecast For 31st October 2017
Due to the low level atmospheric disturbance over Sri Lanka, prevailing showery condition is expected to enhance further today (31st October). Cloudy skies are alsoexpected over most parts of the island.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times over most parts of the island and the possibility for very heavy showers is high in the hilly areas.
Very heavy falls (above 150mm) within 24hrs can be expected at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Western, North-western, Uva, Northern and North-Central provinces and in the Galle, Matara, Amparaand Batticaloa districts.
Heavy falls (above100 mm) within 24hrs can be expected at some places elsewhere.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
