Trade Agreement Between Qatar – Srilanka Signed
In Qatar – Srilanka Economic Commission two days sittings , bilateral agreement on Trade and Economic Development was signed on yesterday’s sitting (31).
This agreement was signed between the Minister of Industry and Commerce of Srilanka, Rishad Bathideen and Economic Trade Minister of Qatar, Sheik Ahmed Bin Jashim Bin Mohamed Althani.
This agreement includes the subjects tourism, gas and aviation , etc for bilateral development in both countries.
In yesterday’s sittings Rishad Bathideen and Economic Trade Minister of Qatar delivered special speeches . Both of them touched the long term relations, economic and trade relationship between the two countries.
Officers of the Trade Department, coming under the purview of Ministry of Industry and Commerce , Export Development Board coming under the purview of Development Strategies and International Trade, Customs and Foreign Affairs participated in this event.
Joint Economic Commission’s two days sittings, which started in Cinnamon Lake Side Hotel was completed yesterday.
The Qatar delegation comprised of 20 personnel led by Qatar Trade Minister came to Srilanka on 29th , met President , Prime Minister , Minister Arjuna Ranatunga and had discussions with them.
