Release of Confidential Audio Recordings Exposing Underhand Dealings in Bond Controversy

Several confidential audio recordings exposing underhand dealings that took place in Central Bank Bond issuance were released to the media at a media conference convened by the Voice against Corruption in Colombo today.Among other things, it includes some conversations between Perpetual Treasuries CEO, Kasun Palisena and the Superintendent of the Public Debt Department on 27 th  of February, 2015, the day the controversial bond issuance was conducted.

The other significant audio recordings of conversations were between the Head of the Public Debt Department and the officials of State Banks about the increase of interest rates.
