General Amnesty For Army Deserters Extended

Military Spokesperson Brig. Roshan Seneviratne said, so far 8,052 army men have applied to obtain the legal discharge from the service. Response to the previous General Amnesty is impressive. Hence, Sri Lanka defence authorities have decided to extend the General Amnesty period given to army deserters up to 22nd of this month.
