No Change in Reduced Beer Prices – Mangala

During the 5 th day debate on the second reading of the budget in parliament yesterday (14), Minister of Media and Finance Mangala Samaraweera said, there is no change in reduced price of beer, despite request made by religious clergies and other groups to restore it to the earlier price.

He said imposing tax based on alcoholic content in the liquor is an international practice adopted in the world.
