JO Decided Not to Contest LG Election Along With SLFP

A meeting chaired by former President Kurunegala District Parliamentarian Mahinda Rajapaksa was held last evening at the Parliamentary complex. Members of the Joint Opposition expressed their views at this meeting.

As there is no response received from the SLFP for their demand that the SLFP should leave the national Government, they have decided to refrain from contesting the upcoming Local Government Election with the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP).
