Ajith Perera Challenges Alleged Phone Conversations He Had With Arjun Aloysious

It transpired at the bond commission that Deputy Minister Ajith P Perera alleged to have telephone conversations with Arjuna Aloysious of Perpetual Treasuries Ltd. The Attorney alleged that telephone communication was limited to two calls between his client’s mobile phone and that of Aloysious  one incoming call and one outgoing call.
Deputy Minister Ajith P Perera rejects having any telephone conversations with Arjuna Aloysius of Perpetual Treasuries Ltd. A letter was directed to the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate and Inquire into the Issuance of Treasury Bonds through Attorney Manjula Balasuriya representing Deputy Minister Ajith P Perera.
Accordingly, the Attorney requested the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to provide the relevant date and time of the telephone calls if the reports by the media are true.
Furthermore, Attorney Manjula Balasuriya said, his client Deputy Minister Ajith P Perera is willing to listen to the voice calls as well. Deputy Minister Perera also requested permission to cross-examine the officers, who reported his alleged phone calls to the Presidential Commission of Inquiry.
