Writ Petition of Death Sentenced Duminda Silva’s Appeal Fixed for Inquiry on March 2018

Former Defence Ministry Monitoring MP Duminda Silva, who was sentenced to death by the Colombo High Court for committing the murder of four persons including former MP Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra and four others have filed a writ application in the Supreme Court seeking revision of the judgement delivered by the Colombo High Court. Five accused including former MP Duminda Silva were on September 8 sentenced to death by Colombo High Court for committing the murder of four persons including former MP Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra on October 8, 2011.

The Supreme court had decided to take the writ for inquiry on 29 th March 2018.
