Election Commission Recognizes Six More Political Parties

Gazette notification published early on 30th January 2017 indicated that the Election Commission had recognized and registered sixty four (64) political parties in Srilanka.

Out of 92 applications received for registration during the year , the Election Commission has selected and recognized only six (6) political parties and allocated symbols. Total number of registered political parties in Srilanka is now 70.
