Inspection of Polythene Factories by CEA

The Chairman of the Central Environmental  Authority, Prof. Lal Dharmasiri said, that arrangements have been made to inspect factories manufacturing polythene based products. Inspection is planned to commence in December. Purpose is to ensure that these factories produce polythene based products in accordance with the guidelines given by the Central Environmental Authority, which were included in the gazette notification published in the government gazette.

He further said, that there are about 500 industrialists carry out production without registering with them. He requested them to get registered promptly.
