CAA Announces Telephone Numbers to Enable Consumers to Complain

The Consumer Affairs Authority Chairman Hasitha Thilakeratne has taken steps to protect consumers from unscrupulous traders. Accordingly , consumer affairs authority has announced telephone numbers 1977 or 0117-755481 or 0117- 755482, enabling consumers to lodge their complaints regarding consumer goods. The Chairman said, during the festive season, 1 st December to 15 th January 2018, there will be surprise inspections of wholesale trade centers as well as retail shops to ensure marking of price, expiry date and standard on products.
