Many do not understand Hopper Policy?

Many people in the SLFP appear to have not understood the hopper (Aapa) policy. During the last Presidential election Maithreepala had hopper with him for dinner on the previous night and in the morning he betrayed him and became the Presidential candidate opposing him.

There is no truth in news that the SLFP and the Joint Opposition has sorted out differences and came to an agreement. Another canard is that there was a cordial discussion between the President Maithreepala Sirisena and me. This too is a fabricated lie. If President wants to talk to me, he could have easily do it through telephone. I am not going to take any decision on my own in respect of my party. If I do so, someone may try to depict me as an autocrat. Hence, all decisions in future will be taken in consultation with other party members, he concluded.
