Establishing a Medical Faculty in Sabragamuwa University

In replying to a question raised by MP Vasudeva Nanayakara today (29) in parliament, Minister of Higher Education and High Ways Laksman Kiriella, said, that steps have been taken to establish a medical faculty in Sabragamuwa University and admit 75 students in the first instance.

Curriculum cum Syllabus for this medical faculty is being prepared by the University Grants Commission. Based on the results of students released this year, first batch will be admitted to this medical faculty, he concluded.
