TNA Obstructs Industrial Development in the North – Rishad
During the committee stage debate on the vote of expenditure to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce in Parliament yesterday , Vanni MP Charles Nirmalanathan questioned the Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen, as to whether he was able to restore KKS cement factory , Paranthan Chemicals and oddichuddan tiles factory? In reply Minister Rishad Bathiudeen said, thus’’ I sought advice and assistances of TNA and other north politicians to restore KKS factory . But no one came forward to assist me. They said, there were complicated problems involved in it. Therefore don’t blame me’’, he replied.
Vanni MP Charles Nirmalanathan in response said, instead of negotiating with our leaders and the Northern Provincial Council , Minister should talk to the Members of the Parliament of the North. Then only we can place our problems before you to resolve it, he concluded.
