Garbage issue will be solved within 3 years permanently – President

 

President Maithripala Sirisena has instructed the relevant officials to put in place a permanent solution to the garbage problem within three years.

The President said so while participating at a meeting held at the presidential secretariat yesterday with regard to the national environment programme.

On this occasion the President pointed out that the garbage problem posed a serious threat to people’s health.
