Robbers Fired at a Customer During Bank Robbery in Kudawella,Tangalle

Tangalle police said, that around 9.45am today (5) two individuals arrived on a motorcycle entered the state bank branch of Kudawella , brandished with weapons and attempted to rob the bank.

They were able to rob approximately Rs 5 to 6 million. When they had fled the scene of the robbery, one of the suspects had fired at a customer of the bank to scare any attempt by public to apprehend them. He was shot in the leg by robbers. He has been admitted to the Tangalle Hospital. Tangalle Police is conducting further investigations into the incident.
