Commenting on the Akuressa incident where Ex-President Mahinda Rajapaksa seemed to be moving towards a supporter angrily, the ex-president said that he just pushed away an individual, a supporter of Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), who grasped his finger very hard.

“A strong SLFP supporter clasped my finger. He seemed to be under the influence of liquor at the time. The grip was so hard that it could have broken my finger. I just pushed him away. What else could I have done to save my finger,” the former President said while addressing another meeting yesterday.
