We Don’t Want to be Partners of the Failed Government?

Former President Mahinda Rajapakshe after worshipping at the Sri Dalada Maligawa spoke to the press. He asked who is to be benefited by dividing Maithree and me? Further he said, the people of Srilanka knows very well what the government has done during the last 3 years. Economy has plunged into the bottom. Unemployment has increased. How can we come into an agreement with the government at this stage? If we do so, we will become partners of the failed government.

Although the President has expressed his adverse views on certain issues in the budget, no amendment was made accordingly, he concluded.
