Ruling On Objections Raised in Johnston’s Case in Jan.

Charges were framed against MP Johnston Fernando for removing 153 employees of Sathosa from official duties and deploying them to carry out political activities between the years 2010-2014. The Bribery Commission filed this case on charges of causing a loss of 40 million rupees to the government.
Primary objection was filed against the charge sheet filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery.
The Court today announced that the ruling on primary objections filed against the charge sheet filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption against Parliamentarian Johnston Fernando will be made on the 18th of January. The order was issued by the Colombo Chief Magistrate Lal Ranasinghe Bandara today.
