Introduction of Ultra Modern Passport From Next Year

During a monitoring visit made by the prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe along with the State Defence Minister Ruwan Wijewardena to the Thomas De La Rue Lanka Ltd in the Biyagama Free Trad Zone, he said that an ultra Modern passport will be issued in Srilanka as from next year.

It will included a micro chip. He said, that he propose to assign this task to  Thomas De La Rue Lanka Ltd.
