Weather Forecast For 17th December 2017

North-east monsoon conditions are expected to establish gradually over the country in next few days.

Several spells of showers will occur in the Eastern, Uva and Central provinces.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts particularly after 2.00p.m.

Fairly strong gusty winds (up to 50kmph) can be expected over the island.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces during the morning.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
