Additional 15,000 Policemen Will be Deployed During Final Stage of Submitting LG Election Nomination
The acceptance of nominations for 248 Local Government institutions commenced yesterday (18) and will conclude at midnight on 21st December. Hence, an additional 15,000 policemen will be deployed for the final stage of nomination submission for the upcoming Local Government election, Police sources confirmed.
Police media spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara stated that additional security will be provided on the final submission date as many prominent political parties will submit their nominations on 21st December.
