Issuing of Text Books Not Stopped – Govt.

Speaking at a media briefing held at the Ministry of Education, the Commissioner General of the Educational Publications Department I.M.K.B Ilangasinghe says that certain groups are spreading false rumours that the government has discontinued issuing text books to students of government schools. This is absolutely a false propaganda.

The Ministry could not issue certain text books before the schools closed for the year due to a printing delay of the State Printing Corporation.
