DNA Test on “Thalaputuwa” Elephant Killed In Galgamuwa
Nine suspects were arrested in connection with the killing of “Thalaputuwa” elephant in Galgamuwa and remanded. Their remand period has been extended till 9th January 2018.
The Magistrate ordered the police to send the gun used in the killing to the government Aanalyst and obtain a report from him. In addition, he ordered to send the anatomy of Thalaputuwa elephant to government analyst for a report.
All telecom operators were also directed to provide a detailed report on calls and SMS by all suspects during the period.
