Hand Grenade Attack at North Western Assistant Excise Commissioner’s Home

A hand grenade has been thrown at the home of North Western Assistant Excise Commissioner Leslie Jayantha Ranaweera.

Pannala police said that Ranaweera’s residence in Makandura, Pannala had come under attack at around 1 am today (2).

At that moment, the Assistant Commissioner was sleeping on the second floor of his home. No one was injured in the attack.

In the meantime , the grenade attack has caused damages to a bus parked in his garage.
