Fertilizer Coming in……

Co-cabinet spokesman Minister of Sports Dayasiri Jeyasekera while participating in the cabinet decision briefing yesterday (3) said, that a ship load of 40,000 MT of fertilizer was arriving in  Srilanka last night.

In addition, Agriculture Minister Duminda Dissanayake says, that a ship with 50,000MT of fertilizer from Pakistan is scheduled to reach the island on 8th of this month.

Further, he confirmed that several other ships are on the way bringing fertilizer ordered by the government as well as the private sector. On being unloaded, fertilizer would be distributed among farmers on a priority basis, he concluded.
