SLTB Employees of the North on Fasting From Today…

As the dispute regarding shifting of the bus depot to a new location remains unresolved, the northern SLTB employees launched a fasting campaign as from today.

After holding a discussion with the Northern Province minister of Transport cum Chief Minister C.Vigneswaren yesterday, announcement was made that they abandon the struggle said Deputy General Manager of the Northern SLTB, B.H.R.D.Chandrasiri.

However, trade unions are not agreeable to the solution suggested by the Northern Ministry of Transport. Hence, they have decided to go on fasting from today (4) said, Secretary of the Northern Trade Union Front, Arulanantham Arulprakash.
