Jaffna HC Judge M. Illancheliyan Requests Jaffna Army Commanding  Officer to Release  Point Pedro Court Land.

Jaffna Army Commanding Officer , Major General Dharshana Hettiarachchi met Jaffna High Court Judge Illancheliyan to greet him for the near year. He was accompanied by the Army Legal Advisor and the Army General placed in charge of Jaffna.

At this occasion, Jaffna High court Judge made a request to him to release  2 acres of land belongs to Point Pedro Court, to enable establishing a High Court.  During the war period army took over this court premises located in 2 acres of land and established a army base for 551 brigade.

In response, Major General Dharshana  Hettiarachchi assured him that he would take all possible steps within his limit to get it released.
