Removal of Mahinda’s Civic Rights?
A Colombo based news website has reported that the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to investigate and inquire into serious acts of fraud, corruption and abuse of power state resources and privileges (PRECIPAC) in its report submitted to the President on 2nd said to have recommended to remove the civic rights of Mahinda Rajapakshe.
The report clearly indicates that former President Mahinda Rajapakshe and his family members utilized the state resources at their own wish. Further, making use of the presidential power they carried out several illegal activities. In addition they were accused of obtaining bribes for several government projects.
In view of the above facts, the commission recommended removal of former President Mahinda Rajapakshe’s Civic Rights?
