National Blood Transfusion Centre Appeals to Public to Donate Blood.

The National Blood Transfusion Centre has made an appeal to blood donors to donate blood to meet possible shortage of blood between January and April. According to the Director General of the National Blood Transfusion Centre Dr.Rukshan Bellana, the rate of donation of blood reduces during this period.

As a result, there is possibility for a shortage of blood. He emphasised that blood donors must come forward to avoid a situation of this nature. Blood donors , who are interested could donate  blood  by visiting the nearest Hospital’s Blood Centre or the Narahenpita National Blood Transfusion Centre.
