SLFP to expel 5 CC members

 

A decision will be taken at the next SLFP Central Committee (CC) meeting to remove the five CC members who are contesting the parliamentary election from the United National Front for good Governance (UNFGG), party sources said.

The move to expel these members will be presented by SLFP General Secretary Anura Priyadarshana Yapa at the CC meeting due to meet next week under the leadership of party Chairman President Maithripala Sirisena.

Accordingly, Treasure of the party S.B. Navinne, Vice Chairman M.K.D.S. Gunawardane, Deputy Secretary Rajitha Senaratne, CC Members Arjuna Ranatunga and Hirunika Premachandra are to be expelled from the party.
