Nurses Flocks Together Against Introduction of Fingerprint System

Nurses’ Union of the Sri Jayawardenapura National Hospital launched the strike action nine days ago over the introduction of a Fingerprint Attendance System. As a result activities at the hospital have come to a complete standstill while over 100 surgeries conducted on a daily basis have been postponed.

In support of the strike action launched by the Nurses’ Union of the Sri Jayawardenapura National Hospital, now Nurses attached to the Colombo National Hospital and Eye Hospital too have decided to carry out a trade union action by taking sick leave today.
