Shortages of Buses in SLTB…

Executive Director of the SLTB R.D Bandara said, that the Board now have 7,329 buses and only 6,400 are road worthy to operate on roads. In other word, 929 buses are kept out of operation. This situation arises due to engine trouble develop in buses on daily basis.

There is a shortage of 1,350 buses and for over 1,500 drivers and conductors exist.

Due to above reasons, mostly SLTB servicers in Colombo, Gampaha and Kulutara are badly affected, he said.
