A New Force to Fight Against Corruption After Feb 10th

Speaking at a United People’s Freedom Alliance election propaganda rally in Kosgama the President said,  he will build a new force against corruption within the country after the Local Government Election on the 10th of February  in the best interest of the country.

The President noted his aim is  to build a new country after the 10th of February void of party affiliations, colour or of political party ideologies, which will open  a new chapter and a new movement to build a new country.  The UPFA would rally all patriotic Sri Lankans and educated persons, he added. The President urged all Sri Lankans to join hands with him in  this endeavour.

Referring  to accusation the government is selling national assets and  leasing land to the world, he questioned who sold the 240 acres of Port City land to China on a free hold.

President Sirisena noted no leader in our history, sold our lands to foreigners, he concluded.
