Fifty Percent of Our Politicians Are Day Light Robbers – President

The greatest obstacle faced by the government in developing the country is  day light robbery  done by 50% of our corrupted politicians among us.

President Maithreepala Sirisena made this observation while addressing an election campaign rally held yesterday (21) at Mawadivembu in Batticaloe.

I shall not allow any member elected through the SLFP to rob people’s wealth. We appointed a Commission to probe the Central Bank bond scam. Those found guilty will be prosecuted in the court of law and punished irrespective of their rank and file.

The current situation is that no party leader can get into a platform and claim that they are clean and beyond board. He said, he strives hard to have a people friendly  corruption free government in the future for Srilanka.
