Reduction of Prices of Lunch Sheets & Polythene Bags in the Market Within 2 Weeks…

All Ceylon Polythene manufacturers union announced that the lunch sheet and polythene produced according to specifications laid down by the environmental authority has been sold at higher prices in the open market. A lunch sheet is sold at Rs 2, 20, while a polythene bag at Rs 2.30 in the market. Steps will be taken to reduce the prices of these items within next two weeks.

Fourty (40) containers of raw materials required to manufacture as per specifications have arrived at the port. Hence, it would be possible to reduce the prices, said its Secretary Anura Herath.
